FBCR Prayer Retreat Jan. 23-24, 2009 Guest prayer retreat leader, Leighann McCoy, came and blessed us this weekend as God was and is calling us to reflect His heart through all our circumstances no matter what they may be. Is this possible? Only in Christ! Forty-three women attended, each at a different place in their walk but with the same desire to finish the race by pressing forth toward the prize. God is continuing the magnificent work He began in us as He is "HGTVing" our heart. He wants to continue the interior design work on the inside as we cooperate in the rebuilding process. Many need old wounds bound up. Many need their minds renewed. And many need to allow Him to touch their hearts in all honesty and get to some root issues like pride and selfishness for true healing. But we all have the same goal. We want to look like Christ and reflect His image to our husbands, children, families, friends, neighbors and enemies. "Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit." 2 Cor. 3:17-18. "How else will anyone know that You that You are pleased with me and with Your people unless You go with us? What else will distinguish me and Your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?" Exodus 33:16 Lord, make us over into the Spirit-filled women you desire.
